This site is part of the Midlife Crisis of Computer Graphics project by Olia Lialina at Merz Akademie.
My approach to computer graphics is off the mainstream lines of computer graphic and tries to research a
field quite unkown to most people. It's about a field that has been there for a long time (~1980) and came from an illegal background. That might be one of the reasons it isn't in focus.
The thing that was most interesting to me about my subject is that it is fully programmed. So a lot of skill is needed to become a good
D E M O programmer...
Yes, that is what it's all about here: Demo's.
I will give an overview to this not-so-well covered field of computer graphics. I'm also trying to give myself hard C++ lessons to program some demos myself. That will be the main challenge...
and that's the main reason why here is not much to see. But that will change hopefully.
Go and see the demo section for some examples of my lousy c skills...
The demo section is now updated...
Soon:
- mp3's of a lecture with chaos, the coder from farb:rausch-get them here!
- book reviews, favorites list of demos (seen through the eyes of a designer :) )
